Jeff Paul: Game Wrap: VAN 2, VGK 1: Canucks Still Afloat The Vancouver Canucks avoided elimination with a 2-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game Five of their Western Conference Semifinal series. Rookie goalie Thatcher Demko made 42 saves for the Canucks.

I anticipate the Canucks BLM shenanigans bit them hard for those two games they lost. They had turned over the momentum completely to Vegas in games 3/4. Maybe they are over their ill advised feelings, that caused them to embrace Vegas players, and are back mentally over the feels they had.

That was way closer than it should’ve ever been, but after last years choke job it didn’t matter how pretty it looked as long as they got the W.

Props to Demko for making it a series.

Proud of the team to just keep at it after it would’ve been super easy to fold when things weren’t seemingly going their way in the game 7. I hope Reaves is suspended so that an actual skillful player can take his spot.
